King & T's Story
King and T are littermates that were purchased from us at 8wks of age by Judy Champion, on a co-ownership. Both were shown. At 8mths of age T developed demodex. It was decided that she be spayed. Once she was spayed, the demodex cleared up & she had no further problems. A replacement for T was found. King's show career continued on, earning his Conformation Championship & a group placement along the way, by the age of 2yrs.After King retired from the conformation ring, I would get updates from Judy from time to time, on the dogs, after this. About a month ago, she called out of blue & said she had started a new business & had no time for the dogs. Would I take them back? Of course, all dogs I breed always have a place here. After standing me up twice, the dogs were brought to me by neighbor. Seems Judy couldn't face me & it was clear why. The dogs (including the replacement bitch for T) were flithy, matted to the skin, hot spots & fleas, toenails long overdue & curling under the paws from neglect! It took me 4 days of baths & grooming get them looking like collies again. I had to completely shave T's under belly & most of her furnishings, as the matts were so bad! They were so happy to have someone paying attention to them! Of course only the dogs were returned, no records or paperwork. Since the day they were dropped off, Judy moved, left no forwarding address & will not answer her cell phone. I have left numerous messages. I have revaccinated the dogs & wormed & tested for heartworm. Thankfully, they were all clear! The replacement bitch went back home to her co-breeder, whom was glad to have her back. I hoping to re-home both King & T. They are both very happy, outgoing, fun loving dogs. Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in giving one or both of these collies a loving, forever home.
